More Information:
Camera Canon EOS 600D is a type of digital cameras are known to have a great ability for novice users and existing professionals. About some areas in America, this camera is known as T3i. The camera is manufactured to replace the previous types of cameras Canon EOS 550D. There is now increasingly popular use of the LCD screen with live view capability, is also already on the Canon EOS 600D camera, so photographers will be very helpful if you want to get a preview before the shoot in certain circumstances, for example when the camera raised above the head, then help “Vari angle “LCD will easily be shifted so that the photographer can still see the preview of the object that will be in the shoot.
Ukura LCD screen on the Canon EOS 600D also has a greater width than its predecessor, is now equipped with 3 inch LCD which makes us more comfortable to preview or review. For the LCD viewfinder / live viewfinder is an option for DSLR users, because the Canon EOS 600D camera also has an optical viewfinder that has an accuracy of 100% frame coverage than the LCD viewfinder which only has 99% frame coverage. That is, if using the LCD viewfinder, then there is a small area that will be lost / not captured by the LCD at the time we shoot objectnya preview before, so the images will appear slightly wider than an early preview on the LCD.
For those of you who are also happy to immortalize the moment to move, then the Canon EOS 600D will provide an exciting experience for video recording, because this camera has the ability to record HD video at full size with a maximum resolution of 1920 x 1080 (1080p), 30fps is certainly a minimum size requirement if we want the video recordings to be smooth uninterrupted in fast motion. If you want a video recording that is faster than 30fps, the EOS 600D also has a choice of up to 60fps, but at a smaller resolution, ie 1280 x 720 (720p). Do not be confused with the size of the video between 1080p than 720p, because if we look on a normal TV, 720p is good enough size for our documentation.
Canon EOS 600D has been using images processor Digic 4 processor. This is the type of processor Canon’s great to capture the results of our process. Additionally Digic 4 processor also helps us speed up the autofocus on the object to be captured. Great noice reduction capability of Digic 4 processor so that the Canon EOS 600D/T3i capable of being used with a maximum ISO 6400 with noise is still acceptable. The ability to record video in 1080p resolution can also be done thanks to the technology of the Digic 4.
Battery of Canon cameras EOS600D/T3i uses LP-E8. For his strength was good enough to use as a standard to be reached more than 400 re-shoot before rechange. But the ability of this battery will decrease if we often use the viewfinder or LCD for reviewing the results of our capture. It is therefore always advisable to have a battery backup to avoid undesirable conditions.
Simple Guide to Buy Old SLR Camera
Golden era of film cameras is over supplanted by digital cameras film cameras but by no means disappeared. A small part of a young photographer there seems to be that paying attention to the antique camera without this sensor, but often this desire should be undone because it confused the camera determines the criteria that must be purchased. Sometimes for even simple things like determining the condition of the goods, whether it still works fine, or damaged it does not seem easy. Understandably antique camera that can be run without the battery has no rear monitor to preview shots.
The first thing, before the physical check is performed to check the feasibility of the price. The price offered should be appropriate to the prevailing price in the market, for the type and kind of the same camera. If the price has been established and is considered appropriate, then do the steps below. Category of rare items, collection items are an exception.
- General body
Include the smoothness of goods (impact, scratches, abrasions, rust). Abrasions and scratches that super fine (hair strokes) is sometimes a little hard to see. By slightly altering the angle of view, tilt, and keep closer to the light can sometimes be helpful. Using tools like a magnifying glass would be better.
2. Button
Make sure all buttons function normally or can be rotated with ease. Shutter. Cock camera and snap. Try at least in 3 different speed high, low, medium. Also try the Auto position, if there are B and M90/60. Each different position would normally produce a sound that is also different.
3. Viewfinder
Peek, check dust, trash, mildew and Fogg. Dust can be a few points, many points, accumulate or spread. If the clot is likely not the dust but is classified as junk. If the fungus is usually like a thread or irregular crust or it could be rooted clot or possibly even the flowering and fruiting when it is severe (joke!). Fogg mean white foggy, the view is not clear just like when we wake up in the morning. With a lens attached, check the cleanliness (split) screen. Sometimes a little difficult to determine whether dust or dirt was on screen or in the lens, so bring the lens itself seems much better.
4. Metering
Point the camera to different places, watch the numbers change, needles, lights etc, then her eyes still peering at vewfinder, turn the shutter speed to whatever you like, normally shaped light gauge needle or lamp will give a reaction when you turn the shutter button. If it does not move stubborn likely damaged. To be sure check the camera batteries.
5. Cleanliness of the room in front
Open the front lens, check out the inside. Check the mirror reflection (mirror) clean, lots of scratches, as well as flat and smooth mirror edges or ragged jagged black. For camera with lens rangfinder dead that can not be opened, this step and also one step below the disregard it.
6. Cleanliness of room in the back
Open the back cover. The part that often rub against when the cover is opened and closed normally is the most prone to rust and also dirty. The section was shaped sperti small trench across the top and bottom. I usually give the name of the “rectangular outline”.
7. Roads and groove Film
All parts are inspected and passed by the films also do not forget the back that serves hit movies when the door is closed. Rust or dirt will make the film scratches and abrasions.
8. Curtain shutter
Is the shutter open with perfect or not when the camera is taken of. Do not forget to cock the camera before you push the button.
9. Attach movie
Cock and snap, to convince the step No. 3 to function properly. If the results can be printed all the better.
Above steps for the mechanical analog film cameras, while for Rangefinder cameras, pocket, plastic cameras, a little different but it seems pointnya same. Make a check especially the viewfinder with a lens attached.
Some additional tips:
Bring or prepare your own lens.
Especially when buying a camera “body only”. Without a lens attached, focus, cleanliness split screen would be a little difficult. Canon MF and AF cameras have a different mount, so prepare yourself a little hard lenses, while other brands like Nikon or Pentax seems a little easier because the same mount between AF and MF cameras (except the screw mount), so the lens digitalpun can be used simply to check clean the inside only.
Prepare a new camera as a backup battery.
Opening the back cover of the camera, looks like part is trivial but I sometimes difficult to do, although for the camera itself. Understandably, the process is not open to open routinely performed, especially for the category of old people like me that his memory begins to decline. Generally the camera is opened by pulling the rollers roll located on the top left to top, the back cover will open laterally as mebuka notebooks. But there are also conducted by towing the locking lever on the left side, or even have a button at the bottom brace, open the camera like opening matches. typically search only safe way to ask the seller to open, although the way it looks stupid but it seems much more secure than paying the cost of damage due to trivial errors
Sony Alpha DSLR-A580 Review
The Sony DSLR-A580 was announced, together with the SLT-A55, in August 2010. In Sony’s slightly convoluted DSLR line-up it is firmly located in the mid-level bracket, competing with cameras such as the Canon EOS 600D/Rebel T3i and Nikon D5100.
Both the A580 and the A55 continue Sony’s tradition of designing cameras which are ‘a bit different’ from the rest. This is especially true for the A55 which, with its translucent fixed mirror and electronic viewfinder, can’t even technically be called an SLR. The subject of our review though, the DSLR-A580, comes with a moving mirror and is therefore more of a ‘traditional’ SLR, but its second live view mode still sets it apart from the more conventional competitors. Like its predecessor, the DSLR-A550, the camera uses a small secondary sensor in the viewfinder to provide live view with fast phase-detection AF, but can also utilize the slower but higher-resolution main-sensor live view system used by all other manufacturers, albeit only with very slow contrast-detect AF.
The unusual live view concept is not the only element that the new model has taken over from its predecessor. The A580 body is, apart from some minor changes to the button layout and the color of the top plate (black vs gray), visually indistinguishable from the A550. Inside the body shell it is a different story. The A550 captures its images on the same 16.2MP CMOS sensor that we were pretty impressed with in our SLT-A55 review. With the new sensor the camera also gains a few new features, such as 1080p full-HD video, a sweep-panorama mode and a multi-frame ISO 25600 mode, all of which are available on the A-55 as well.
In essence the DSLR-A580 offers an A55 image pipeline in an A550 body which makes it, at least on paper, an ideal solution for those who like the new Sony 16.2 MP sensor’s image output but prefer a more traditional DSLR design with an optical viewfinder over the A55′s EVF and translucent mirror.
The two-mode live view
One of the most notable features of the new camera is one that has been taken over from its predecessor – the second live view mode. The A580 sports a small secondary sensor in the viewfinder to provide live view with fast phase-detection AF, but can also utilize the slower but higher-resolution main-sensor live view system used by all other manufacturers. Contrast detect AF is now available in this latter mode which as a consequence is now called ‘Focus Check Live View’ (as opposed to MF Check Live View).
Sony A580 – key specifications

- 16.2MP (effective) APS HD CMOS sensor
- Maximum ISO 12,800 (with a quasi-ISO 25,600 ‘Multi-frame NR’ option)
- 15-point AF system with 3 cross-type AF points
- Contrast-detect AF in focus check live view mode
- Electronic level in LCD with pitch/roll indicator
- Switchable Memory Stick/SD card slots (only one in use at any time)
- Up to 7fps continuous shooting rate
- 1080p AVCHD movie mode with continuous AF
- Hinged 3 inch LCD with 921k dots
- 3D sweep-panorama
- Socket for external microphone
- Face-detection AF (focus via nearest phase-detection AF point)
At the same time as the DSLR-A580 Sony also launched the sister model A560. The only difference between the two models is the imaging sensor. The A560 captures its images on a 14.2 MP CMOS sensor instead of the A580′s 16.2 MP.

Official website: Olympus EVOLT E520
More Information:
Like other families Olympus, Olympus Camera EVOLT E-520 uses the open-format Four Thirds lens mount and sensor size slightly smaller. This resulted in the Olympus E-520 camera has a 2x factor croping. E-520 camera is at the time of initial purchase was packaged with 14-42mm kit lens, and compatible with other lenses are manufactured by several other companies such as Leica and Panasonic. However, on certain lens types, although it could be mounted on mount Olympus E520 camera, some features may not be used. This camera can produce images of the beautiful and fast enough response to the TruePic III image processor.
Olympus E520 is equipped with an LCD to review and preview-sized 2.7-inch, 230,000 pixel resolution with HyperCrystal II technology will, which allows the image to look more clear and bright in any condition, and its LCD also has a view angle is good, so see the results no picture should be straight in front of LCD. The camera is also equipped with Live View capability on the LCD, so the photographer can see the object to be photographed before the shutter button is pressed and photos stored on the memory. Live View is very helpful easier for us to take a snapshot at a position that is impossible or difficult if the target with an optical viewfinder.
Some new technologies available on the Olympus E520 camera is Face Detection technology, the camera’s ability to detect the object to be captured faces up to eight conditions, the camera will use that information to automatically adjust the position of best focus and exposure for the object to be targeted. Also equipped with a shadow adjustment to better display the details of the dark on the object.
The camera is also equipped with automatic sensor cleaning, is also equipped with anti-vibration found on the camera body. Anti-vibration sensor will detect the vibrations caused mild example when we press the shutter button or other consequences. Advantages image stabilizer is located on the body, we do not need to buy a lens that has the capability IS (Image Stabilizer), which is usually more expensive than a lens without IS. That way, all the lenses can be worn and Image Stabilizernya always be used as well.
In addition to the default 14-42mm kit lens, Olympus E520 camera memory card not included, so we should complement this by buying a camera memory card. For this type of memorynya, Olympus E520 camera has two Compact Flash slots of type I and II (Microdrive termasuuk) and are also available for the xD memory card. But until this review was written, for the price of memory compared between the two, Compact Flash prices are cheaper and the size of the memory is still larger than the xD card. Please pick the most suitable according to need.
Battery power management capabilities for the camera Olympus E-520 is good enough for normal use BLM-1 battery is said to reach more than 600 shots before the battery into the drop. It is still influenced more by how many of us use the LCD for review or live view, because the more the LCD is turned on, the more wasteful use of battery. However, advisable to always have a backup battery to avoid unexpected conditions.
Users TIPS Pocket – Consumer Digicam – Prevent Under Exposure
Generally pocket camera users, who complain they get the images tend to be less light (under exposure), especially flash photography (indoor), is mainly due to the camera of this type rely on a built-in flash yg low light intensity, so the range / coverage area is limited , plus a habit of shooting at a distance of maximum flash range.
What often happens is:
- on a wide angle lens (zoom out max), only the central region alone who is quite bright, while at the edges / corners, tend to be darker because of this limitation flash coverage area (regardless of lens design problem, vignetting).
- the telephoto lens (zoom in max), tends to overall lack of bright (under), is due to the position of zoom in, the smaller the aperture opening, so that more light is needed, consequently shortening the flash range.
To avoid these problems, we need to know the ability of flash cameras, compact cameras are generally in the range max data are given only flash, for example: wide angle: 3 m, tele: 2 m, at ISO 100.
Any increase in a stop / double (ISO 200), the distance is increased 1.4 times, 2 stop / quadruple (ISO 400) increased 2 time, otherwise if its ISO down ½ (ISO 50) decreased 0.7 times.
To prevent under exposure, try shooting in the distance before / below the maximum flash range.
There are several things that must be considered:
1. Use the highest ISO for low light conditions (low light) and or for moving objects (photos sports / action), so that the object is quite tercahayai, as well as “freeze” motion.
The weakness with the use of high ISO, especially in this small bersensor camera, is an increase in noise (in analogue cameras / film, grainy), due to increased sensor sensitivity to light by increasing the gain of the sensor amplifier. But this noise level (generally consumer digicam max ISO 400), is still worthy of publication for small size (3-4R), if you are “allergic” to the noise / grainy, avoid ISO 400, ISO 200 using max.
2. Use a flash with a low speed (slow synch flash) so that the object + background tercahayai pretty well.
This is especially useful untuknight shoot / scene, in which BG darkness who, to be quite tercahayai (bright), who just keep in mind, though using a flash, krn at low speed, try to keep the subject of his picture + camera remains steady (recommended to use a tripod / alternatives). Another advantage, the lower speednya, the more natural color of the original light is recorded (for example: who is more the color of warm incandescent bulbs).
3. Use the (+) EV (exposure compensation) to “enlighten” the results of our photos.
The advantage in this way, are: an increase in brightness is not accompanied by increased noise, due to the way it works is by reducing the speed until the limit of “safe”, where the speed is still high enough to be handheld, if this were not enough, then aperturenya which will be enlarged; related with how it works, we must take into account the consequences:
the greater the value of (+)-EV, the lower speednya, is not suited to “freeze” the motion of objects, better suited for still images. aperture magnified when it comes, it will shorten its DoF, but this is rare, especially considering the digital compact cameras have a DoF is “very” long, except for macro photos. because the brightness is intentionally we “add”, so avoid its use for photos at close range / close-ups (1 m or less), to avoid over exposure; more useful for images that approach the maximum flash range, so as not to under exposure results.
How big is the (+) its EV (exposure value)? depending on how bright image we want, lighting conditions at the location shooting, and do not forget to adjust the ISO setting that we use, for it to do the experiment first to determine its value.
Generally, the value of +2 / 3-1 (+0.7 – 1.0) at ISO 100-200 is sufficient, in certain circumstances who need high brightness level, maybe just enough pd ISO 400 (eg: group photograph who was forced to do pd max flash range). For the auto ISO setting, note its ISO range, generally between 100-200, 100-400, 50-150, depending on the brand / type of camera (though the camera generally tend to choose the lowest ISO).
Tips for Using Watertight Protector
One of the differences between digital cameras and film cameras is digital camera body tends to heat up. As a result, there could be condensation or condensation in or on a protective water-resistant camera lens if the high humidity inside protective. Therefore, you should avoid opening protective in damp areas, such as on board ship or on a wet beach.
Equally important, you need to replace the battery on each dive if you do not want to risk running out of battery. Divers who dive more than once a day to set up some spare batteries.
When out of the water after diving, flush and shake-shake the camera protector with water to remove sand or salt element attached to the protector. Then dry the entire surface of the protector with a dry cloth.
Clean the entire surface of the shield and between the keys with a towel. If there is still sand or foreign objects, shake protector with water and wipe again until it is gone and dry. Put the protector is on the table or chair and a towel to wipe your entire head to prevent water or hair from falling into the protective head when opened. But do not do this just above the shield open.
When you open a protective water-resistant, do it quickly. Replace batteries quickly, consider the O-ring, lock and shield it from the rear side of a foreign object, insert one or two packets of silica gel, and cover again.
Turn off the camera power if your digital camera models can be turned off while in a protective water-resistant. If without this feature, set the camera to shooting mode, turn off the LCD monitor and wait until the cameras go into sleep mode automatically. Perform this procedure as quickly as possible and as good as possible before the next dive, silica gel packets to get enough time to absorb the moisture inside the protector.
Before you dive again, do a test against the protector, check for a few seconds the first time and for longer both times. Carefully store the protective waterproof under direct sunlight. Protector and your digital camera will heat up and cause condensation when in the boat or dive.
